OUR HISTORY
- Founded on January 28, 1997, the Rocky Mountain Tibetan Terrier Cub had its genesis with the 1998 Tibetan Terrier Club of America (TTCA) National Specialty being hosted for the first time in Colorado when local Tibetan Terrier owners & breeders rallied to welcome the greater "TT" world to Denver's majestic mountain vista and altitude for this ancient Himalayan dog breed.
- 2004 and 2009, saw the TTCA, the official Tibetan Terrier Parent Club with the American Kennel Club, return to Colorado for Specialty Shows along the Front Range and 2014 saw another spectacular Specialty show in Loveland, Colorado, "Love in the Rockies" hosted by the active Rocky Mountain Club. Please see the 'photos' page for Specialty candids.
- The 2024 Tibetan Terrier Club National Specialty show week will be held in Colorado Springs August 30 - September 5.
- On an annual basis, the members socialize, share happenings & info with a quarterly newsletter, meet up at AKC dog events, and provide on-going support for re-homing or rescuing Tibetan Terriers.
- In 2004, the Club incorporated under the not-for- profit laws of the State of Colorado and continues to this day to function by committee, with no Officers or Directors other than the Club Treasurer, with the support of rotating committee chairs.
